No human being can comprehend the number trillion, but can you even comprehend the number billion? Let’s put that into a little perspective,
shall we…
The next time you hear
a politician use the word 'billion' or billion’s in a casual manner, think
about whether you want that 'politician' spending YOUR’ tax dollars, that ‘YOU’ worked for.
A billion is a difficult number to
comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure
into some perspective.
They wrote:
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959..
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in
the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20
minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
But while this thought
is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans for an example...
It's amazing what you can learn with some simple math.
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu was asking Congress for 250 BILLION of your DOLLARS to rebuild New Orleans. An interesting number…right?
But what does it mean?
A.
Well …hang on to your hat my friend… If you
are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman and child) each gets $516,528.00
B.
Or... If you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.00
C.
Or... If you are a family of four...Your
family gets $2,066.012.00
Washington
, D.C.! ....HELLO! Are all your calculators broken??
And to pay for all this, all they can do -
is give us:

Tax (well…maybe not that one) just don’t suggest it.
And we are still more than 20 Trillion American fiat dollars in debt. No you
cannot comprehend that, don’t you even try!
You will become mentally ill…
And remember our forfathars gave their
lives and fought against British Rule to avoid all these tyrannical taxes.
Not one of these taxes existed in
as little as 100 years ago....
And our nation was the
most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no
national debt...
Our dollar was worth a
dollar sometimes more, now it’s worth zero…
A loaf of bread cost 6
cents…
We had the largest
middle class in world history...
And Mom stayed home to
raise the kids.
What more could we possibly want?
What happened?
Read My Lips…Can you
spell POLITICIANS ???
And we still have to Press '1' For English.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Your elected officials no longer spend your money for the good of the nation,
they spend your
money for their own good.
I hope this goes around the world At least a
‘billion times’.
