Mary Was Raped

Mary Was Raped

No not just any Mary, Mary the Mother of Jesus.  So says Paul Verhoeven, who directed Hollywood movies including “Robocop,” “Total Recall” and “Basic Instinct.”  He is making a new movie based on his 2008 book, “Jesus of Nazareth,” where Jesus is said to be a bastard child.

A new Hollywood film is in the works that some are already calling blasphemous.  It will portray Jesus as the product of His mother Mary being raped by a Roman soldier, and shows that miracles mentioned in the New Testament were not real.  I just can’t help but wonder where the documentation is for this belief of Verhoeven’s, or was he there in BC #1 or AD #1 to witness this event himself?

According to Deadline.com, Verhoeven’s take on the life of Jesus discounts all the miracles mentioned in Scripture, including the virgin birth and the resurrection, as Verhoeven doesn’t believe any of it actually took place.

The most controversial of Verhoeven’s notions is that “Jesus was the product of his mother being raped by a Roman soldier”, which Verhoeven said was commonplace at the time.  He said, “Jesus was a radical prophet who performed exorcisms and was convinced he would find the kingdom of heaven on earth.  --- [No, your showing your ignorance Paul, it wasn’t Jesus that thought that, it was the Jews, read the BIBLE and you will find the truth] --- and did not know he would be sentenced to die on the cross by Pontius Pilate.”  Deadline reported.  [ Again your showing your ignorance Paul, it was Pontius Pilate that didn’t know he was going to sentence Jesus to Death.  Jesus knew from the beginning.] You really do need to read your Bible Paul.

Why is it so hard for people like Paul Verhoeven to believe in the virgin birth?  Medical science does this all the time now.  Mary was nothing but a surrogate mother for Jesus the Son of God.  God place his seed in Mary much as doctors do now.

“He is treading on territory that Christians universally would label as blasphemous,” says Mike Fleming of Deadline.  “The film seems to have landed in the appropriate place, as a gritty and controversial independent film.”

Verhoeven spoke of Jesus in these terms:  “If you look at the man, it’s clear that you have a person who was completely innovative in the field of ethics.  My own passion for Jesus came when I started to realize that.  It’s not about miracles; it’s about a new set of ethics, an openness towards the world, which was anathema in a Roman-dominated world.  I believe he was crucified because they felt that politically, he was a dangerous person whose following was getting bigger and bigger.  Jesus’ ideals are about the utopia of human behavior, about how we should treat each other, how we should step into the shoes of our enemy.”  Again Paul your wrong, it wasn’t Jesus who was an anathema.  Its you Paul, you’re the anathema…

Muse Productions will reportedly be producing the new film, and Roger Avary, who won an Oscar for co-writing 1994′s “Pulp Fiction,” is on board to adapt the book into a screenplay.  No date has been mentioned yet for when the film is targeted for release, Verhoeven is apparently looking for financial backing for the film.  We can pray that he does not find any backers.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Anyone involved in the production of this film will face the wrath of God.  I personally will NOT watch this film, but I will write to these people and tell them that they are treading on thin ice unless they cancel this film, because God’s judgment will be harsh if they choose to mock him.  The Bible has never failed in its record of historical events.  Archaeologists and scientists are discovering more proof of biblical accounts every day, even as I write this article.

I can’t help but remember when cartoons of the so-called prophet Muhammad of Islam appeared in a Danish newspaper, Satan’s wrath of hell was unleashed on the world, and people were killed even though they had nothing to do with the cartoons.  Moreover the liberals in the west condemned the Danish government for not taking the Newspaper to task.

I believe that I am safe in saying that there will likely be no backlash at all from the media about this outrage…  Someone who attacks my Jesus in that way, attacks me, and I have run out of cheeks to turn, but that’s just me!
