A letter to the N.Y. Times Magazine

The following is a copy of a letter that I sent to the New York Times in response to an article regarding an interview of Brigitte Gabriel by a New York Times Magazine reporter Deborah Solomon

Re: Interview of Brigitte Gabriel
By Reporter Deborah Solomon

This past Sunday the New York Times magazine carried an interview with Brigitte Gabriel in advance of the release of her new book "They Must Be Stopped". In what one can only mildly describe as a remarkable illustration of ignorance and "Political Correctness". Brigitte Gabriel was described as a “radical Islamophobe” in the introduction page 6 Table of Contents blurb. Now if you were describing me, you might be correct, because I don't soft peddle the truth in any way as she does so graciously and diplomatically. This little dynamo of a once Lebanese lady has become more of an American than anyone at the New York Times could ever hope to achieve. You may one day owe your freedom to write this kind of ignorant tripe, to this great American woman. As a matter of fact you would do well to try to hire her as an expert on just who and what Islam really is, because trust me; you… haven't got a clue.

Calling Brigitte a “radical Islamophobe” is tantamount to calling someone who fought against Nazism in 1943, a radical Naziophobe. Thank God there were such people then and you should thank God that we have at least one person leading the fight against Islam now.

I protest reporter Deborah Solomon's obvious ignorant lack of objectivity toward Brigitte, and Solomon's often inappropriate questions, such as "Are you an agent of the U.S. government, and are you underwritten by the CIA"? As well as the dig,"... I see that R. James Woolsey, a former director of the CIA. serves on the board of American Congress for Truth, your educational foundation." The FBI, CIA and the Homeland Security agency's would also do well in trying to hire her as an expert advisor on the coming agenda of Islam before it’s too late. Apparently in Deborah Solomon's world, one must be on the U.S. government payroll to want to sound the alarm about militant Muslim supremacists. Another stunningly absurd question from Solomon: was, "If you are worried about death threats, why would you put a glamorous photograph of yourself on the cover of your new book?"

Presumably Solomon feels that Brigitte Gabriel should wear a burka, or hide altogether, to appease the Islamists who want to kill her for speaking out against them and exposing them for what they are. Moreover why does Solomon feel it is somehow questionable for Brigitte to be "glamorous"? Not to mention giving her the inflammatory title of "The Crusader." Coming from me that would be different, because I know the meaning of the word crusader and I know that she is a crusader trying desperately to save America from the same fate as her birth country Lebanon. However coming from the bowels of ignorance like the New York Times it is tantamount to call her a murderer. Well I have news for you, Brigitte is just trying her very best to save your useless hide from the murdering Muslims that have infiltrated this country just as they infiltrated her birth country Lebanon, and now guess what… Lebanon is an Islamic State. Try reading her first book, "Because they Hate" and educate yourselves just a little as to what Islam is really all about before you shoot yourselves in the foot.

Is this what you really want for America or do you have the guts to print the truth for a change without passing it through the filter of your religion of”Politically Correct Multiculturalism" that does nothing but act as conduit for the Islamic establishment of Sharia law???

If you don't have the guts to publish this letter to the editor, then I can only urge the Times to publish an apology/correction regarding the inaccurate label of "radical Islamophobe" of Brigitte Gabriel. I urge the Times also to remove this inaccurate description of her from your web site.

Yours truly, de Andréa
