A Fly in the Paint
One of the many hobbies that I had in another life was vintage motor racing which I later turned into a business of restoring old vintage race cars. Repairing and restoring the old fiberglass and aluminum bodies, and finally putting a coat of paint on them that was far superior to what they had originally.

During the process of applying the paint, the last thing one would want, is a fly to rest itself right on the surface of the freshly painted final coat. If there is anything that is going to destroy the look of a fine paintjob it is a fly stuck right in the middle of the hood.

More importunately, a question… would I ignorantly and purposely stick a fly in the wet paint right in the middle of the hood? No you say? Well… not me, but we have a government that is sticking flies in our paint, not only right in the middle, but all over our race car.

Recently I wrote about the fact that our government is hiring our enemy, the very enemy that we are at war with, to advise us on how to fight this war against him. Now this might sound like some secret covert strategy, but I can assure you that it is not. It is the ignorant sticking of the fly in the wet paint, moreover if this continues it will destroy this country and no amount of restoration will bring it back.

It is troubling enough, that it appears Stephen Coughlin a top military aid, is being pushed aside because he has courageously – and correctly – pierced through the fog of political correctness in the Pentagon and exposed the nature of the threat we’re dealing with. We are becoming as the British say, it just isn’t cricket old-man. Moreover he was pushed aside by a fly in the paint, an Egyptian Muslim terrorist named Hesham Islam, hired as a U.S. military advisor.

But more troubling is that very fog of political correctness, and multiculturalism a fog that is blinding the Pentagon to our enemy’s ideological foundations for violent and cultural jihad is providing terrorist Muslims the framework and justification for their holy war on “infidels.”
Too many of Great Britain’s leaders have walked blindly in this fog for years. Read Londonistan, by Melanie Phillips, for a “preview of the coming attractions in America if too many in our government walk down the same path.

This is why the ACT! for America motto is “Rising in defense of our security, our liberty and our values.” While there are some people in government who share these concerns and appreciate the true nature of the threat, there are so many others who don’t. We can’t afford to sit back and hope the ones in government who see the fly in the paint will win out over the ones who don’t. The ongoing Coughlin affaire is a good example of why sitting back and hoping, is not a course of action we can afford to choose.

Should our government employ terrorist?
Imagine trying to fight a war without a clue as to what motivates your enemy or what governs his strategy for your destruction. Actually, you don't have to work too hard to get your head around such an insane idea; it is the current practice of the United States government. It is tantamount to The U.S. putting Nazi’s in critical strategic positions in the Pentagon during WW II

This is not, of course, the way it is supposed to be. According, for example, to the Pentagon's own guidelines as reflected in the Army's Field Manual 34-130 dealing with Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB), one of the first tasks in any conflict is to "Evaluate the threat.” This job requires military personnel to "update or create threat models: convert threat doctrine or patterns of operation to graphics (doctrinal templates); describe in words the threat's tactics and options; [and] identify high value targets."

Such guidance is eminently sensible and needed, not only at the tactical or battlefield level, but also at the strategic level. In fact, most national security practitioners would find it, unimaginable to try to do otherwise. And yet, here we are ignoring the most basic rules of enemy engagement.

The only answer to this phenomenon is that our western governments are totally deceived by this enemy. If the west understood The Eastern mind and culture it would know that deception in Islam is part and parcel of this enemy’s doctrinal strategy. In the Quran, it is the doctrine of Taqiyyah (the deception)

Yet, Stephen Coughlin, is mysteriously one of the very few people working for the U.S. government who has rigorously studied the current "threat doctrine" as well as the wellspring in the traditions, practices and Sharia Law of today's totalitarian ideology known as The Nation of Islam or Islamofascism. It is, as of this writing, that he may still be cashiered at the end of next month.

Worse yet, the individual who seems to be most responsible for shutting down Mr. Coughlin's essential doctrinal analysis and training by driving him out of the Pentagon is Hesham Islam, a Muslim, he may be staying in a sensitive position working for the Defense Department's Deputy Secretary, Gordon England. This notwithstanding serious questions raised about Mr. Islam's public biography, conduct in relation to Muslim outreach, the Coughlin affair and his top secret security clearance.

To recap: Coughlin is the author of an impressive 330-page master's thesis on the subject of Islamic theology which was recently accepted by the Defense Intelligence University. He currently works under contract to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a job for which he is well suited as an Army Reserve Major, a trained strategic intelligence analyst and attorney. His thesis brilliantly argues that jihad, or Islamic warfare, is rooted in the Islamists' Sharia Law. According to the Army doctrine, it is the enemy's conception of his doctrine that is the basis for developing threat templates and the threat model - not our uncritical assumptions about what "root causes" inspires him. As Maj. Coughlin so eloquently points out, we are not at war with a "theory of terrorism."

Maj. Coughlin has developed an intimate understanding not only of the "enemy threat doctrine.” He has also analyzed its "order of battle" including, notably, the various front organizations operated in America by the Muslim Brotherhood. Documents entered into evidence last year by the Department of Justice in the course of the Holy Land Foundation terrorism conspiracy trial offered insights into the stated objective of the Brotherhood - namely, the destruction of the United States from within, something that I have been writing about for years. The Justice Department has also named names, identifying among many others, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) as a Muslim Brotherhood front. It could be that while we successfully fight this enemy in his country, he successfully infiltrates and like a surreptitious malignant cancer has equally and successfully mastisized in our country.

Unfortunately, thanks to Hesham Islam, ISNA has been of late the preeminent vehicle for the Pentagons "outreach" efforts to the American Muslim community. When Mr. Coughlin warned the Pentagon leadership of the error of such contacts, he was pressed by Mr. Hesham Islam to desist. Shortly after Coughlin refused to do so, his contract with the Joint Chiefs of Staff was not renewed because, as one unnamed officer told the Washington Times' Bill Gertz, it had "gotten too hot" to keep Mr. Coughlin on the job.

Some in Congress who have taken an interest in the Coughlin affair have been led to believe that Mr. Coughlin's contract was not re-upped for reasons having nothing to do with his altercation with Mr. Islam, that he was getting a job in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and that Mr. Islam was going to be leaving the Pentagon. It appears now that we may have been misled.
As of now, the Defense Department's best hope for understanding - and drawing the appropriate insights from - the Islamofascist threat doctrine will be separated from the government at the end of March. An appointment that would allow Maj. Coughlin to continue his vital work in a position within the Office of the Secretary of Defense is reportedly being blocked by Under Secretary of Defense Eric Edelman or one of his subordinates.

Meanwhile, serious questions about not only Mr. Islam’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood organization but his truthfulness in describing his personal history seem to have gone unanswered. One of America's most accomplished investigative reporters, Claudia Rosett, was unable to confirm various colorful claims made by this Egyptian terrorist on a Pentagon website. The Department's response to date has been to remove the page from that site. Mr. Islam evidently remains what Deputy Secretary England has called him: "a close personal confidante.” In the counter-intelligence heyday of the Cold War, would an outreach to suspected Soviet front organizations have been so blithely dismissed? I think not…

In the current War for the Free World, it is nothing less than a scandal that America is still trying to win it with so much confusion about the doctrine of our enemies, to say nothing of having some fact-based hypothesis and understanding of those who may seek to replace our constitutional order with a Sharia Law-based one. As Maj. Coughlin argues, "If we fail to align the enemy to his doctrine," then our strategies and comprehension of the threat will likewise be "misaligned."

Steve Coughlin's facility for insight and his capabilities are needed today more than ever. Effective congressional intervention, including hearings, must be made to ensure that the services of those who understand the threat posed by Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood and its ilk are retained. No less importantly, individuals who are self identified as Muslims and express sympathy for, or otherwise abet the purposes of our enemies as well as support for one of its most insidious and successful instruments, the Muslim Brotherhood, should be brought up on charges of treason or a the very least have no place in the United States government.

THE BOTTOM LINE: I cannot emphasize enough, the gravity of the deception in
America. I wrote an article, “Islam Through Western Eyes”, which addresses this very problem, that the people brought up in Western cultures cannot relate to the Muslim mind. They cannot bring themselves to believe that an entire Nation of people could be so barbaric to worship death. I have to tell you that Muslims do not think in the same rational reasonable benevolent way that Westerners do. We have lived in virtual freedom for so long that the totally out of balance culture of the East does not register to even the most self-centered person in Europe and America. What American mother would encourage her child to grow up to be a suicide bomber, or not even wait to grow up?

In Islam there is quite simply only one way, and that is the way of Allah which is documented in the Quran. We, for example, see the terrorists as radical and extreme, because if an American would do what the Muslim terrorists do, we would naturally see them as sick extreme radicals, not the standard normal American, and that would be true. So we just assume that these so-called Muslim radicals and extremists are just a very few insane troublemakers. We adopt this way of thinking in order to cope with the atrocities that they commit. You see, in our minds we must think this way, because the alternative is unthinkable to the West. It couldn’t be that an entire Nation of people could all be driven to promote the same agenda of world dominance, slavery, oppression, hate, and murder.

My friend, America had the same problem in the 1930’s and on into the 40’s. Even while we were at war we could not bring ourselves to believe that Hitler’s Nazism could bring something even close to the Holocaust. It wasn’t until after the war in Europe was over that we saw with our own Western American eyes the inhumanity of Nazism.

No middle of the road
It is true, all Germans were not Nazis. But it is also true that all Nazis were inhumane tyrants, or, they weren’t Nazis, whether or not one wanted to believe it. By the same token all Arabs are not Muslims. But it is also true that all Muslims are terrorists, or they are not Muslims, whether or not one wants to believe it…

If nothing else contact your representatives and let them know that you know about the outing of what may be the only person in the pentagon that understands our enemy, moreover that you would support a congressional investigation into the matter.
